Minister Ismaili promises to begin building hospitals in Pristina and Ferizaj in 2018

Ismaili suggests the contract for the construction of Ferizaj Hospital will be signed in January. In contrast, for the Pristina Hospital, the first <x0 group“will be dropped by the end of the year.

In the first six months, we'll get 300 employees into the health system. And I believe that even the second six months, during the review, we'll also get a large number of employees to hire. With these we will begin to slowly meet the needs Kosovo has regarding doctors and nurses”, Ismaili said.

All of this, according to the head of the UN, will be done so as not to allow persons who finish the faculty in Kosovo to seek work abroad.

With time, there will always be numbers of doctors and a number of nurses who will be added, because we have the smallest number in the region. Therefore, we must take people who conduct the faculty in Kosovo not to go abroad but to find work in the Republic of Kosovo”.

Government leader Ramush Haradinaj a few weeks ago has warned public sector salary growth of 5%, but this 5% increase has not been much liked by unionists who have promised protests unless their 15% salary growth requirement is met.

Contented with the doctor's current salaries is neither Minister Ismaili. He has said that in addition to other health investments he will take care of their salary increases, adding that they will be related to quality offered to citizens.

While, in terms of expressed dissatisfaction with the small increase in salaries, Ismaili has said he is in question with unionists in order to find an acceptable solution for both them and the Kosovo budget.

“I am in question with them, I have continued the social discussion we call with unions in order to make a solution that is both satisfactory to them but also acceptable to the budget of the Republic of Kosovo. And I'm not happy with the salaries they get today, so I'm going to do my best, as I said, in addition to investments in infrastructure, investments in drugs, infrastructure investments in equipment, to help increase wages. But I have to say that wage growth should be related to the quality we give to citizens”, he added.

Promises by each party that had come to power included projects to build the Pristina Hospital, as well as the one at Ferizaj. However, according to SHA's first, these two projects are almost finished. For Ferizaj's Hospital, Ismaili is waiting to sign the contract, and this is expected to take place in the first weeks after the winter break.

“Ferizaj Hospital, I tell you, has dragged on for years. That hospital is a great demand of citizens, but also of the municipality, but it has dragged on for a very long time. It's over. It's said to be the execution of some recent documents that are being done and I'm waiting for the subject to come to my signature. It's a matter, I believe, of the first week after the holidays to happen. This is a work done”.

While for the capital hospital, Ismaili said that this year the first <x0 group will be launched, adding that in advance it will take up to 8 months to complete the project and assignment of the site.

For Ismaili, the first few months on duty have not gone very well. From the beginning of his mandate, he faced the case of suspicious deaths at QKUK, which has been found to have come as a result of oxid gas -- gas for which the contracting company had licenses only for import and not for production.

Although it says that Kosovo University Clinical Hospital Hospital Service ( Sa SKUK), the head of the NSH, says he will seek responsibility for the matter by competent organs.

There's a lot of pain in the case of deaths, there's a pain in the family, there's pain in the health sector, there's pain in the CKUK hospital, because among other things I lose the great trust it's had. And I'm going to look and I've always asked the bodies, the prosecution not to let go, no matter who it is. I don't even know the names, I don't care about the company, I don't care about the names, whoever's in charge, whether he's out of the CKUK, let the prosecution be taken and brought to justice. This is my will, I believe the political will of all persons is related to this case”.

Besides having been informed that the gas supply is now made by a licensed contractor, Minister Ismaili does not know the details of the contract and the rest of the agreement.

“Gazi is not the contracting of the Ministry of Health, is the contracting of SKKUK and they have done the contract. Since I've been given information, they now have a contractor who's licensed for gas. That's the only information you know, ”.

“The elections in the PDK to regenerate self”

Health Minister Uran Ismaili, who is also deputy chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, questioned by EO for the elections warned within the party, has said that a desire for regeneration of the structures has been presented at the party and that this has been done before the country enters local elections.
