Although Serbia has guarantees from NATO that the Kosovo Security Forces cannot go north, the problem is that it cannot be trusted with NATO, as there is no written guarantee.
So writes the Russian-Serbian media "Sputniki", adding that after Oliver Ivanovic's assassination in Kosovo nothing will be the same.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq warned that someone is trying to use Ivanovic's murder to cause instability and introduce the Kosovo Security Forces in the north.
“Aqat that Ivanovic has been killed by Serbian services aims to bring an Albanian trap to northern Kosovo”, Vuciq has indicated.
Fear that something could happen has been expressed by Parliamentary Commission Chairman Milovan Drescu. In his words, Kosovo aims to take control of the north under the pretext of investigating Ivanovic's assassination, and that it would like to prevent alleged destabilisation.
Serbia's “politicians say they have a verbal guarantee of NATO that in northern Kosovo there will be no special ROSU units, nor any of the Albanian security forces”, military analyst Miroslav Lazanski has said.
According to him, in northern Kosovo there is a multinational police officer controlled by Pristina, and if there is a reference like ROSU or any other force that would be a breach of agreements and verbal promise, the news conveys.
I don't know if we have anything written, it's just a problem you can't trust NATO when there's no written guarantee, but only verbal”, Lazanski stressed.
He has stressed that if such a thing tries to happen then Serbs will protest, but has added that if a decision is made no one can prevent Albanians from doing so.
During the interview for '%Sputnikić, Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq had said he is proud that as long as no single Serb was in power, no single Serb was killed in Kosovo, journalist Zeljko Cvianovic recalls.
“Three days after that a Serb was killed, and he was a person with whom Vuciq had a serious political conflict. Oliver was a very special, strong, beautiful, charismatic man. . A man around whom a myth can be built. Something similar to Djindjic, just to smaller size. I think anyone who planned his murder and anyone who did it was aware of all of this”, Cvianovic said.
Oliver Ivanov's murder goes to Vuciqi's account, says the journalist, but adding that Vuciq has the least interest in his murder.
