According to research conducted by the rehabilitation center “Labyrinth” turns out that in Kosovo there are about 5,000 troubled drug users, while another 20,000 use narcotics from time to time. Statistics show that 85 people have died for 15 years of narcotics use, writes the newspaper “Voice” today.
In recent years, the number of narcotics users has increased in Kosovo, where according to a research carried out by the rehabilitation centre “Labyrinth” turns out that in Kosovo there are about 5,000 troubled drug users, while another 20,000 use narcotics from time to time.
As for narcotics criminal cases, Kosovo police for the January period of November last year had arrested 1,203 people, as opposed to 2016, who were arrested there were 874 persons.
According to statistics sent by police for “Zrin”, it appears that men are the biggest users of narcotics than women, while marijuana is the substance that has been confiscated the most.
On the other hand, the large number of young people using these substances has moved the police to develop activities to prevent such phenomena in schools.
Statistics published by organisation “Labyrinth” indicates that 85 people have died for 15 years from the use of narcotics.
Psychologists say that the use of these substances causes consequences to human behavior and health, while experts seek to form institutions that will deal with awareness of new generations.
