Kosovo police in particular the antidrug unit through various operations, patrols and many activities have managed to combat narcotics trafficking, officials of the rule forces estimate. Bajram Nuhiu, of the Directorate for Investigation of Narcotics, has told Radio Kosovo that 116 people have been arrested since the beginning of this month and an amount of narcotic substances has been seized.
A total of 97 cases have been initiated this year, 116 persons have been seized, 55kg of marijuana, 6.5 grams of cocaine, and 0.3 grams of heroin have been seized.
Nuhiu also said that the Nardroga Unit has kept different activities in schools, aware of students against the use of narcotics.
Following the activities, Kosovo police have organised and drafted various operational plans, especially at the local night Radio Kosovo has participated in one of the police shares where the Special Operations Unit, the Antidroga Unit and the K9 were present.
