The deputy head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Hajredin Redi, has shown himself indifferent to the differences in positions of President Hashim Thaci and Chief Parliamentary Kadri Veselini, faced by the Special Court.
Contacted over Veselin's withdrawal from the joint initiative with Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's Thaci, for abolishing the Law for the Special Court, Red has refused to declare itself on this issue with the argument that it does not retain the same role it had earlier in PDK.
If you ask them or the party spokesman yourself. I don't intend to position myself in the name of the PDK, on these issues is party spokesman, deputy chairman of PDK, secretary PDK and others. I don't have the role I had earlier in PDK”, he said.
Meanwhile questioned about the rumours that have begun to be seen in the opinion about the creation of a new party on the part of President Thaci, after the end of his mandate, Red denies having previously heard such information, however he insists he will stay on PDK further.
And for me, the only party is the PDK. I had meetings with Thaci but he never told me that. Apsulutly did not stay in other parties anywhere”, Red said.
First The PDK through a column has announced that it will not insist on abolishing the Special Court, which began on the 22nd of December, with the initiative of associations released by the KLA war, and prosecuted at the Parliament's Headship through the signatures of 43 deputies.
This initiative to abolish the Special Court prompted powerful international reactions, which accused President Hashim Thaci, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and the head of the Assembly of treason against the international community.
American Ambassador Greg Delaway had said it was a back knife to America. In the meantime, very harsh reactions came from civil society to the initiative.
The Kosovo Assembly on August 3, 2015, had adopted with accelerated procedure the Law for the Special Court. The approval was made by majority of votes, but without the participation of opposition parties, which at the time boycotted the work of the Parliament.
