At least 80 people -- Turkish citizens -- are being sheltered in Kosovo today due to persecution on charges that they belong to the Turkish Hodge movement Fetullah Gulen, who lives in the US.
The show life in Kosovo brought interviews with three of these people who feel threatened by Turkey's persecution after the trynti-pucit that occurred there in 2016.
Even though they are being sheltered in Kosovo, they have demanded that their identity and profession remain hidden because of the danger they feel.
One of the respondents we can only find out he's a civilian servant said that in Turkey you don't need much reason to be arrested and that's why he feels at risk.
The “is a completely invented and organised stamp by Erdogan. All of Erdogan's opponents have been fired, imprisoned, and victimised with reasoning based on this fabricated equique”, he said.
He also said the reason he and his friends have chosen Kosovo to take refuge is cultural proximity and free movement in Kosovo.
Another Turkish national who had been deputy director at a Gulen school showed how he was arrested in Turkey and how he managed to come to Kosovo, where he is now standing for a year.
I was taken into custody in Turkey, then released because there was no evidence in my house that I was related to the gulenist movement. I didn't think that in Kosovo the Gulenist movement would be considered a terrorist, when it had not been declared so”, he said.
For “Life in Kosovo”, a pensioner from Turkey, sheltered in Kosovo, also persecuted.
This edition also brought a debate between authors and historians Hajro Limaj from Albania and Jusuf Bujowi from Kosovo over the strategies of these two states faced East-West tensions.
