Government expects Kosovo to have 6 per cent economic growth during 2018

Kosovo in the past five years has had an average economic growth of 3.5 per cent to 5 per cent. And for this year, expert economy rulers predict better growth of 6 %s, but according to the latter, there remains insufficient to reduce poverty unemployment. Professor Nagip Skkiner says [...]
Professor Nagip Skkiner says the country has better economic growth than those in the region, and this provides a hope for economic development but remains insufficient for economic development.
“Even if it were economic growth over two digits, however the unemployment rate would be very difficult to reduce, respectively, to advance in that sense for social status to improve. And in this context, economic growth can have a higher dynamism and Kosovo has a higher growth rate that could be brought up to 6 per cent, eventually if there was an agreement of economic policies within the entire economic and political spectrum in Kosovo”, Sk everyone stressed for public television.
Economic Development Minister Valdrin Luka points out that compared to the last five years, the year 2018 will have a record growth, at least 6 per cent, impacted by the IT sector, agriculture and the New Kosovo project, which is expected to start building by the end of this year.
I think we're going to have a minimum 6 percent growth, there's more potential, but if we get to have 6 percent, it's quite successful because it proves that we're going to have a job generation for the first time more workers entering the job market a year. Because it needs Kosovo about 6 per cent to have economic growth in order to meet all the needs of workers entering the labour market for a year. Then, this will be translated into many and many other successes, because the main idea is to have some big and reliable investors”, Luka pointed out.
