Z. American President Mike Pence says the US will open the Embassy in Jerusalem in 2019.
The Pence, which is on a visit to Israel, said today that the president's administration, Donad Trump, will move on its plan, which has been assessed as a counterproposal, and the embassy will open in late 2019.
Earlier it was predicted that the movement of the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem could last four years.
In his speech to the Parliament of Israel, Mike Pence has defended President Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem for the capital of Israel. This decision has been sharply criticised by Palestinians and their Arab allies.
Following Trump's decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, the Palestinians said they would reject any peace plan presented by the Trump administration.
The UN on the other hand adopted a resolution submitted by Turkey, through which it was urged by the US to withdraw from the decision. Among the countries that voted in favour of the Turkish resolution was Albania.
