Astronaut lied that he grew nine inches [9 cm] during his space stay, seeks forgiveness

A Japanese astronaut apologized for spreading false news. He claimed he had grown 9cm during his three-month stay in space.

The Japanese astronaut grew nine inches [9 cm], until the usual bone growth in the cosmos occurs to be no more than two inches [1-2 cm].

It turns out that the difference with its normal height is only two inches, Reuters reports.

Most astronauts grow in space missions because of a lack of gravity. The gap at altitude is usually one to two inches, and after Earth's return, it disappears.

Cannai, who arrived at last month's International Space Station, announced a change in its growth in the Titter network.

His message made a big impression and spread to many media. A day later, however, he apologised and said mission commander Anton Shlepplerov had measured it and turned out that its height was 182cm by 2cm more than on Earth.
