The American Economic Oda in Kosovo held the annual General Assembly, in which, in addition to the approval of the annual programme of activities, the 11 new members of the Governors' Board chose.
American Chamber of Economics Vice President Michael Gold said the organisation remains among the most powerful business associations in the country, making a special contribution to improving the environment to do business, but being active in areas as corporate social responsibility.
During the presentation of the activities of 2017, American Ode Executive Director Arian Zeka spoke of the achievements of this organization in recent years that list the American Oda in Kosovo among the 10 most powerful American Odays in Europe, where a total of 45 operate American Oda.
According to the Oda communiqué, the General Assembly of the American Ode, comprised of 100 delegates, selected the new Board of Governors, which for the next two years will have this composition: Ilir Ibrahim ProCon) as board president, Hakif Gashi (Meridian Corporation) vice-president, Visar Ramajli (Kivo LLC), Secretary-General Ardiana Bunjaku ( Sa CAPAK), treasurer, as well as non-titled members Michael Gold (Crimson Financial Fund), Hysen Lajqi ( Chris Thompson (Checchi and Company Consulting), Artan Laaj ( MERCUT Group, Ramis Ahmetaj (Veva Fresh), Valon Basha (Birra Peja), and Nerita Tyre ( Coca Cola HBC.
In his inaugural address, Ilir Ibrahimi, president of the Board of Governors, thanked the preliminary Board for the excellent work and assured that Oda American will be a powerful voice of business in protecting their interests even in the years to come.
Ibrahim invited Oda's member businesses to be as active as possible in raising the various issues they face so that the same can be addressed to the respective institutions in common form.
He also thanked the executive director of the American Ode, Arian Zeka, for the unspoiled work on the development and growth of the organization.
Ibrahim wished this trend would continue in the future, providing Director Arian Zeka for support of the Board of Governors.
