The US Treasury Department's “manages the U.S. Government's interilateral process to define people's list of individuals specifically defined (SDN) of the Office for Foreign Property Control (OFAC), in accordance with US law and regulations. On list O FAC DSN people and groups are added on the basis of preset criteria and on the basis of an inter-institutional process of the US Government”.
The American Embassy in a written answer to Insider has explained that this list is frequently updated but that there are no specific timetables and that names on the list are added or removed as needed. Further in response, the American Embassy does not comment on individual cases of people on the list.
“The DSN list is often updated. There is no default time for this but names are added or removed as necessary. We will not comment on the specific cases of individuals on the list. Maintaining the integrity of US sanctions is a top priority of the United States and is the driving principle of the rigorous screening process on the part of Treasury”.
On January 26th of this year, the American Treasury Office for Foreign Asset Control has continued to ban people who cannot travel to the US. Top state officials as Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Limaj and Kosovo Assembly deputies Daut Haradinaj (the country's prime minister's brother) and Vetevendosje deputy Rexhep Selimi are included on this list.
Although Limaj had been on this list, he had previously visited the United States of America. Limaj's adviser, Andrew Shala two years ago, was suggested on this issue where he had said Limaj is on this list only because of his Hague trial.
Limaj's name on this list is only about his trial at The Hague Tribunal. You can verify this on the official list”, Shala had declared.
Also on this list that can't travel towards the United States is the mayor of Drenasis Ramiz Ladrovci and former Skyright Mayor Sami Lushtaku. I'm also on the list. SIS, Lavdrim Mujahiri, who was killed in the wars in Syria last year. US Black List as well as former delegation PDK, Azem Syla.
