Albanian national got off to De Biasi, but closed well in 2017 with Panucci

The year 2017 kicked off for Albania with Gianni De Biasin as a coach who entered the fifth year at the helm of the Reds.

But after three consecutive losses to Italy in 2-0 qualifications, as well as to Bosnia and Luxembourg, with the same score of 2-1, De Bias's work began to conflict.
The last Italian match at the top of the National was the qualifying match against Israel, where Albania triumphed on the 0-3 trip.

After this match De Biasi confirmed his departure from Albania's coach.
Many great names were talked about the decoration of the Albanian National, from Inzagi to Seedorf, but eventually Duka decided on Christian Panucci.

The former protector of Real Madrid and Rome has led the National in five challenges this year.
Panucci headed Albania on four qualifying challenges, where he won a 2-0 victory over Litenstein and equalled 1-1 on his trip to Macedonia.

Meanwhile, the losses were to two European giants Spain and Italy.
Albania was defeated by Spain on 6 October, with a score of 3-0, but in the second part, they had good performance.
In the meantime, the next defeat was made at HINA Loro Boriqi, with a minimum score of 0-1 from Italy.
Thus, the Albanian Nationals completed the qualifications for the World Championship, Russia 2018.

Albania closed these qualifications with four wins one draw and five losses, taking 13 points and occupying third position on the table.
The last match for this year of the Albanian National was the friendly match against Turkey held in Antalya.

Although not the favourite, Albania lectured the Turks by beating 3-2.
Armando Sadiku with two goals and Eros Grezda with another contributed to this victory of Albanians, while Odysse Roshi made two assets.
