Three rescue ships and a helicopter were activated to locate the ship after it was reported that some people were in trouble.
All eight men and a woman were taken from the ship at 5am on Wednesday.
They were taken to the shore, to the port of “Eastbourne '%s Sovereign” on Wednesday afternoon and were later questioned by Border Police.
They had left France on Tuesday evening.
A spokesperson for the Marine Agency said: “has been damaged, but not death. Everybody's in good shape. They're just seasick. ”
It is not yet known how a distress signal from the Albanian ship was sent, as is unknown what happened to the ship. Border Police exclude engine problems.
The National Criminal Agency has reportedly launched investigations into the event.
Dover MP Charlie Elfik urged authorities to be vigilant with immigrants trying to enter Britain illegally.
This event confirms again what people are about to do to get to England. They're willing to risk their lives too. There's nothing more frustrating than going through this canal in a little boat during the winter.
We know that more immigrants are returning from Calais, following recent comments from President Macro.
That's why we should be more vigilant than ever and defend our borders.
Last week it was found that hundreds of immigrants are currently living near the port of Calais in France, while trying to find a way to go to Britain. /syri.net
