Study published in the magazine éMedicine & Science in Sports and Exercieque It started research in 1999, and it monitored television viewing habits of 8900 people.
After 12 years, scientists have discovered that 909 of those participants had died, and 130 of those deaths had been linked to inflammation diseases.
Inflammatory diseases include a wide range of diseases, such as Alzheimer's, asthma, diabetes, and kidney disease.
Those who had spent two to four hours watching television a day had 54 percent higher risk of dying of an inflammation disease.
In addition, those who had spent too much time watching television had been less inclined to attend school, had smaller incomes, had been more prone to diabetes or hypertension, etc.
