Syrian forces used chemical weapons at least 27 times, UN investigators have discovered. The UN report also decrees the US for failing to protect civilians from attacks by Islamic forces. A panel of UN investigators announced Wednesday that Syrian President Bashar Assad's forces had used chemical weapons of Sarin gas in the conquered city of Khan Sheikh. Attacks via chemical gas have killed more than 80 people, the Periscope reported “Deutsche Welle”, broadcast Periscopi.

The findings are part of the UN's latest report on Syrian civil war presented in Geneva by the UN Commission for the investigation in Syria.

An earlier report by the Organisation for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) was not authorized to share guilt or investigate guilt, only to determine whether a chemical weapon was used.

Investigators also found that they had documented 33 chemical weapons attacks since the outbreak of war in 2011.

Twenty - seven of them were executed by Assad's government forces, including between July 1st and 7th of this year.

The authors of six other attacks have not yet been identified, investigators said.

The April attack on the country of Khan Sheikh where Sarin gas was dumped by military planes was described as the worst “incident” and was designated a war crime.

The UN Commission said its latest report, covering the findings from March to July of this year, was based on information received from satellite images, videos, medical photos and about 300 witness interviews.

The Commission finds that there are reasonable grounds to believe that Syrian forces attacked the city of Khan Sheikh with a sarin bomb about 6:45 a.m. on April 4th, in an area inhabited by civilians”, the report said.

The UN declares US failures to protect citizens in attacks by the Syrian regime.

Investigators said there were also “seriously concerned” by operations led by the United States of America against the so-called “Islamic sets” (IS) in Syria.

According to the “Amnesty International” rights group, around 180 civilians were killed during the Turkish Democratic Forces offensive (SDF) supported by the US in June and July to recover the Syrian town of Raqqa from IS rebels./Periscopi/
