Serbian Patriarch: Church not putting pressure on Vuciqi for Kosovo

The head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Irinej, has said this institution will participate in the dialogue for Kosovo.

The truth is we are not pressuring President Vuciq about the Kosovo issue, nor are we thinking about it. I haven't even seen him in a while. The church is awaiting the official invitation for dialogue, we are waiting to see what they say, and we will publish our position. We won't be silent as if we've never silented”, Irinej said.

Days you saw me as Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister, Zorana Mihajlovic, said she expects from the Serbian Orthodox Church to be a partner in domestic dialogue for Kosovo, and not since the beginning of the dialogue put pressure on Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq.

The Serbian deputy prime minister hopes the new phase of dialogue for Kosovo, during which Vuciq will talk to all relevant institutions and individuals, will bring a new policy.
