Serbian List Gets Support From This Party

United Russia's “political party, the Russian President Vladimir Putin's party, has given support to the Serbian List and the Kosovo Serbs, have declared representatives of this list and officials of the Government of Serbia. The Serbian List Chairman Goran Rakic has issued such a statement through a communique for media after the meeting he [...] has published.
The Serbian List Chairman Goran Rakic has published such a statement through a communique for media, after the meeting he and Marko Djuric, chief of the Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo, had on Thursday in Moscow, with the party delegation “United Russia, which was led by the deputy secretary secretary of the General Council of this party, Sergei Zeljnjak.
The communique says Zeljnjak has said the political unity of the Serbian people in Kosovo should also be proven in Kosovo's upcoming local elections.
“Russia behaves with respect to Serbia's Kosovo policy. I am glad that the Serbian List has reinforced its positions and that all issues in Kosovo will now be resolved in the opinion of the Serbian people. For this reason, even in the upcoming local elections, united Russia gives full support to the Serbian List so that it can continue with full capacity of”, Zeljeznjak has said.
Rakiq, has said that strong ties with the Russian Federation are courageous and stimulating for the Serb people in Kosovo.
“This meeting is a topic for the unbreakable bond of the Serbian and Russian people. In the future we will develop regional co-operation interparty”, Rakiq said, who invited Mr. Zeljnjak to visit Kosovo Serbs.
On the other hand, the Serbian List leader's visit to Moscow, by Serbian politicians and connoisseurs of political developments, has been praised as an action for domestic consumption.
Serbian Renewal Movement in Kosovo head-on member Randel Nojrik told Radio Free Europe that the leader of the Serbian List has gone to Moscow, so that he can later receive the support of the electorate in Kosovo.
“I think that this, first of all, is done for internal consumption, taking into account that Serbs in Kosovo feel close to Russia and thus get a little more votes than they would possibly get”.
This is about the fact that in local elections, polarizations will certainly be created because the Serbian List, with candidates to compete with, creates big questions. I consider this, above all, to be an attempt to get a greater number of votes through Russia and Mr. Putin's party. Otherwise, I don't think anything else more important is going to happen<x1...
That following Putin's party's request for support, ahead of the local elections in Kosovo, lies Russia's high assessment of Kosovo Serbs, it is praised in a conversation with Radio Free Europe and Igor Novakovovic, director for research at the Centre for International Work and Security.
What always needs to be taken into account is Russia's great popularity, primarily in northern Kosovo. It should be commemorated that a few years ago the collective application of people living there for the citizenship of the Russian Federation. Not to be ignored is the fact that two years ago, President Vladimir Putin, has been declared an honorary citizen of the Zvecan municipality”.
It is very possible that all of this is a policy of political marketing, with which Serbian List leaders are trying to thus reinforce their position before local elections in Kosovo”, Novakovic said.
The Office for Kosovo of the Government of Serbia, through a media communique, has stressed that the “United Russia Party and Russian President Vladimir Putin's decision to enter the Government of Kosovo, led by Ramush Haradinaj”.
However, Randjel Nojrik has stressed that with the meeting in Moscow with the delegation of “United Russia”, the Serbian List will take negative points compared to Western countries. Also, according to him, although the Serbian List had said it would not blackmail the Government of Kosovo, in which it participates, with its visit to Moscow to seek support from Russia, it is sending signals about its failure to adhere to this government. )
