The ratification process of the demarcation agreement must continue

Ratification of the Demarcing Agreement with Montenegro and fighting organised crime are only two of the most important criteria, which the European Commission expects to meet soon by the new government, at the helm with Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj. So said, in a response to the Oobserver Journal, European Commission spokeswoman Maja Kocijancic, who has cited the visa liberalisation process as extremely important issues for the people of Kosovo, and expects the criteria for it to be met as soon as possible.
In the course of this, Kocijancic has suggested that the European Commission expects the continuation of the ratification process of the demarcation agreement with Montenegro.
“After the creation of the new government, the European Commission hopes in meeting the unresolved criteria so far, dealing with prosecuting cases of organised crime and corruption at the highest levels, as well as ratification of the border agreement with Montenegro. These processes must continue”, European Commission spokeswoman Maja Kocijancic has said.
Prime Minister Haradinaj at the first meeting of his government's cabinet, has dismissed the head of the State Commission for Demarketing with Montenegro, Murat Mehaja, replacing Bulqim with speed.
During the time it was in opposition to the past legislature, Hardinaj has been one of the most vocal opponents of ratification of Demarkation with Montenegro, while Bulliqi was one of the experts who consistently presented documents to argue mistakes made by the previous commission. The whole time she insisted that the deal should be changed.
The Montenegrin side has ratified the agreement reached for demarcation of the Kosovo-Montenegro border in the country, while waiting for the same to be done by the Kosovo side to end an important process for both states.
