The Haradinaj government has been elected by 61 votes, while on the other side it will face an opposition from two major parties which have 58 MPs.
The “Oposi is helping a society, especially for transition countries. Such a situation of confrontation will be helpful to the government, so it helps us to keep the real governance going even with the opposition's opinion”, Haradinaj said in an interview for the Voice of America.
“I urge the opposition to be uncompetitive in their opposition role, at the same time the media, civil society to face our responsibilities or to reflect their views consistently, so we welcome the fact that we have a strong opposition and that is beneficial for us, for Kosovo”, he added.
Asked that opposition parties say the Haradinaj government could not extend the mandate more than six months, Haradinaj has said the important thing is that they will be in the service of citizens, but that it is not important how long it will last.
Look, it's important that an hour, a day, a month, six months as hard as we work for the country, it's the main thing not how long a government will last, but whether it will be in service of citizens or of the country. I believe that we will have a full mandate and we will work that during this full mandate really happens in Kosovo what is expected of us and me in this case that I know that expectations are great and I am aware, but I will also be serious at work”, Haradinaj said.
