Prime Minister dismissed board of agency accrediting educational institutions without criteria

Minister of Education, Science and Technology Shyqiri Bytyqi has decided on the dismissal of the Kosovo Agency for Accreditation (Citizen Council of Quality K) SHC, as well as the task manager of this agency's office.

The report reportedly has taken this decision by Minister Bytyqi after Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's request, with which the prime minister has also called for the immediate start of procedures for the election of the new Board and the AKA director.

Prime Minister Haradinaj has made this request by arguing that the process of accreditation in higher education has been conveyed with serious irregularities, while calling on the minister for the new process to result in the selection of people with proper expertise in the education, ethical and professional sector.
