The Kosovo student's discovery: In the 19th century, Albanians used another alphabet, that's why it disappeared.

Edon Muhharrier is a Kosovo student who continues his master's studies in the US Baltimore. He has published his thesis that there has been another alphabet in Albania in the 19th century that has already been forgotten.

The student from Kosovo has chosen to study in America the practices of illustration. He focused on several machines that were discovered before electricity was invented and then known as printing presses.

The student then sees finding the forgotten Albanian alphabet as accidental because it had not been aimed at it.

"When I discovered the alphabet, it was random. In those years in Albanian literature, the alphabet was published for the first time, which was created by Nahum Bradhi. I was looking for a book that I could get an illustration from him and use in my machine to write something. At first, I found nothing, but later I found a copy of it in a German book called “Documentary Book”, which is a encyclopedia of alphabets, and I came to realize that that the alphabet was not written in Latin. Then I spoke to the Education Museum in Albania and was sent a book scan. Then I began to unlock the alphabet and put in order the letters of the old alphabet,” said Mujarrier.

Alphabet has been widespread in Albania in the mid-800s. It is thought that it was used for some 20 years and was later used because people had no financial opportunity to build a publishing house to print these unique letters. The original book Bradhi had created several other kinds of letters that cannot be used now because they are very illustrative and have calligraphic difficulties.

But, Mujarrier has created a digital version of the letters so people can get to know them and use them for tattoos or logos. News that Muhramer's discovery has arrived in Albania has reached the prime minister himself, who has invited him to come to perform the alphabet at the Education Museum.

“Lami that I managed to discover the alphabet reached the Albanian prime minister.
