A minor stands in his mother's lap, weeping with pain, and holding his face with his burning hands. Meanwhile, a woman is seen burning throughout her body, reported “Alzeera”, broadcast Periscopi.

Such scenes of suffering have become common at the Sadar Hospital in the city of Bazir, Bangladesh. These patients are the Ringaya refugees who have fled the Myanmar Army attacks.

The army came and burned my house. I was inside the house at that moment”, says a patient, 30, Shahida Begum. I had no way to escape the flames, since my body was involved in fire”.

The pain is unbearable,” explains it. It was better to die than to have pain like this”, she added.

Three of Sahida's sons were killed two days before her home in the village of Rasidongo was burned.

“Life will never be the same”, she says.

Dildar Begum and her 10-year-old daughter, Noor Kolima, were admitted to the hospital five days ago and are the only survivors of their family. Dildar lost her husband, baby boy, and mother.

My family was attacked on August 29th. The army came and fired” indiscriminately, Dildar says.

My daughter and I somehow survived the attack, but the two monks who were accompanying the army tried to kill us with a big knife, they thought we were dead and we were left like that, we hid in the house for three days and escaped”, she said.

Eight-year-old Mohammad Anas slipped and injured his face while leaving Myanmar. His uncle, Syed Alam, is with him at the hospital.

We are from the village of Lankhali é Mandua region where it was attacked three days before Bayram”, Syed explains. “We escaped the nearby hill, we were 10 family members when we left, but only six of them have managed to join us”. I have no idea what happened to the other four people./Periscopi/
