The Central Election Commission has cancelled the decision to decertify the 87 candidates who have run for local elections following the Supreme Court's decision.
“From where we are required to cancel the decision to decertify 87 candidates. The Central Election Commission has acted under the law and implemented the law on general elections and local elections and has been obliged to act as it has. We will carry out the Supreme Court's decision whatever it is. After the elections, I recommend meeting and discussing the” laws, CEC head Valdete Daka said.
CEC member Betim Joschi has said this Supreme Court ruling allows all those who committed criminal acts and serious crimes to run in the election.
