Former General of The KLA, currently the country's new prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj, will find it difficult to convert the KSF into Armed Forces during its mandate.
This is due to the fact that the Serbian List, the coalition's important partner, according to Marko Djuric, has managed to remove the military formation from the government's document. But the new KSF minister, Rrustem Berisha, has told “Zen” that the new government will prioritize the transformation of KSF into the military.
The new government, led by Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, which was formed by only 61 votes, is expected to have military formation among its main challenges. Serbian representatives have said the Serbian List has managed to clear the military issue of whose formation the former general was personally committed to KLA, Haradinaj.
Despite this already-appointed KSF minister, Rrustem Berisha, has stated to “Zen” that there is no information if the Serbian List has requested this. On the contrary, according to him, the new government has a key priority to convert the KSF into FAK. Despite it, opposition representatives have considered that a government with only 61 votes (beside with the Serbian List) will find major processes very difficult to advance, including the creation of the Kosovo Army.
