These are the data published on a new map drafted by Scottish police in co-operation with non-government organisations for human rights protection. The map published in Scottish media “The Herald” aims to raise public awareness of the crime.
According to statistics from Scotland's National Crime Agency, the number of victims reported in Scotland for 2016 was 150, a third being children.
Scotland has 3.9 percent of the number of trafficking victims from 3805 registered victims throughout the United Kingdom.
Children are the weakest group for human trafficking. A previous report on child trafficking and illegal migration shows that Albanians top the missing children's list of asylum seekers in Britain.
