Security experts say greater sensitivity of relevant institutions is needed in order to prevent this phenomenon. And sociologists say that parents should have greater concern for their children, especially in their teenage stages.
The phenomenon of killing in Kosovo according to police remains disturbing.
Two murders occurred during the past week alone. One in the town of Peja, and the other in Pristina.
In the first case, the victim was hit with axes in his yard until a 16-year-old boy was found dead on Saturday, where he had taken four bullets in his body.
Until 2015, police registered 25 murders and last year 26, while 13 murders occurred during the January-April period of this year, according to law enforcement.
Murder also occurred during July, where two brothers were killed while cutting wood in the forest in the village of Krishevc, Pec.
Police spokesman Daut Hoxha says that in addition to active efforts in investigating and discovering such disturbing cases of murder, police almost every year identify and confiscated about 1,200 to 1500 illegal weapons of different calibres and ammunition, which pose potential risks when it occurred in uncertain hands.
Only in this period of this year - from January to now - has Kosovo Police seized over 800 weapons and other dangerous means that could affect people's health and lives.
Security expert Drizan Shala, however, thinks that, from the operational point of view, the Kosovo Police leap from its staff and demand that the number of policemen operating in local communities increase, as only in a way would it come to greater security for the country's citizens.
While sociologist Bekim Selisha said that they are due to the serious socioeconomic situation that has been expressed since the post-war period and also called for greater involvement of sociologists in schools.
We remember that the murder trend since the end of the war has begun to rise year after year.
