Ahmeti: Haradinaj must wait for Vuciqi's decision to become prime minister

Shpend Ahmeti, chairman of Pristina, has commented on Kadri Veselin's election to Kosovo Assembly Speaker and on Saturday, when he is expected to be voted for Ramush Haradijn prime minister. Ahmeti has said that Wessel has not been a good choice to be a topparliamentary again. As for the post of prime minister for Haradinaj, Ahmeti [...]
Ahmeti has said that Wessel has not been a good choice to be a topparliamentary again. In contrast, regarding the post of prime minister for Haradinaj, Ahmeti has said he would almost be unable to establish reforms with the PDK and the Serbian List.
He's in an interview for RTV Dukagjin has recalled Ramush Haradinaj's arrest in France, under an arrest warrant issued by Serbia. Aleksandar Vuciq, now Serbia's prime minister, had demanded Haradinaj's extradition to Serbia.
In this regard, Ahmeti has said Haradinaj has come to a point where he is waiting for the Serbian List to receive information exactly from Vuciqi on how to operate in Kosovo. Therefore, Ahmeti has said Haradinaj does not need the post of prime minister when he should ask the Serbian List and the PDK.
Because of Wessel's role in Kosovo in recent years, it has not been a good choice. Imagine what situation we have come into, Vuciqi has requested Ramush Haradinaj's extradition, and now he must wait for Vuciqi's decision to become prime minister. The Serbian list has said it is waiting for Vuciqi to tell them what to do. Ramush does not need a prime minister's post when he should ask The PDK and the Serbian List”, Ahmeti has said.
On the other hand, he has commented on his report with Haradinaj, saying they have major political differences.
“We know Haradinaj's role in war and his family's sacrifice. That doesn't change, but now we have major political differences. We have told both the Initiative and the AAK that as soon as they are separated from the PDK, they will sit down to negotiate the creation of a more stable government. There were no meetings. It is almost impossible for the PDK and the Serbian List to do something good and reformable that helps Kosovo develop”, Ahmeti has said.
He has recalled the Constitutional Court's decision in 2014, which gives only the winning group of elections the right to run their member for chairman of the Parliament. Ahmeti has said the Constitution must be changed before the upcoming elections.
