Veselin addresses letters to KLA associations, calls on counterfeiters to oppose

Kosovo Democratic Party Chairman Kadri Veselin, who is one of the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, has sent a letter to war-free associations.

Through this letter Wessel has confessed the KLA's glorious sacrifice and war, but also the efforts of the malicious who have damaged the spiritual and moral status of the KLA.

Wessel has invited war-free associations and all veterans to contribute and stand up brave against the counterfeiters of the Liberation War, creating a real evidence of the number of veterans who had truly been part of the war.

“Fortifications on veterans' lists are a great shame, which cannot be removed by prosecution investigations, but only the conscience and courage of each veteran to publicly tell the truth, regardless of any other consideration or play, except the truth. The truth and only truth is the insistence that guarantees the KLA's failure to violate as a national subliment. The battle against domestic and outside KLA counterfeiters is the battle for the state of Kosovo itself, so we have to win it”, Wessel said through a writing on his Facebook page.

Letter to Liberation War associations

Honored veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army,

Dear Kosovo Liberation Army fighters,

In just a few days, we are separated from the 18th anniversary of the end of KLA deilitarisation.

It was September 1999 when Kosovo Liberation Army units, in a grand parade, marked the end of a glorious era and the beginning of a new era.

They were days of unrenewable pride, for each of us and every citizen of Kosovo.

The Mission He Was Born for The KLA was fulfilled, as never before in history. After many decades of captivity and oppression, Kosovo was finally released.

In addition to pride and pain, we had lost thousands of fellow fighters. Thousands of civilians had lost their lives and the country had been completely destroyed. Like every other time in history, freedom had come through great human and material sacrifices.

Those days of September, The KLA was resting that it existed physically to return to the spiritual value of our nation, in identifying the new state that was about to be founded- the Republic of Kosovo.

Transformion of The KLA from a military organisation to national spiritual value changed the nature of attacks against it. Instead of tanks and artillery, other tools now began to be used against it, the systematic propaganda of official Belgrade and anti-Albanian circles, systematic media, domestic and external defamation, judicial insults, successive arrests of former members on charges which one after another proved false, whether by international justice in The Hague or by that in Kosovo.

At all costs required that the grand confession to The KLA be crushed, tarnished, blacked, with the sole purpose of achieving the advancement of Kosovo's freedom and the formation of its independent and sovereign state.

This campaign did not go without consequences. They're already quite well known. In fact, this campaign continues to this day. With consciousness, or without it, its goals are also helping the interests of daily politics and different customer interests.

As someone, through the devalvation of the KLA, aims to create himself an undeserved place in the confession of freedom of Kosovo, someone else, in its name, tries to fulfill the personal ego for power and other material favors.

For the First The NLA, as a moral institution, is an obstacle, for the latter, a personal instrument.

The two sides, in fact, operate with the means of counterfeiting the KLA's history and, in effect, have the collapse of its status as the negligible value of the Albanian nation.

Dear fellow fighters,

In particular you who today run the associations of veterans, disabled war and martyr families,

Should we allow this?

Surely we all know the right and only answer to that question!

No, we shouldn't.

The fundamental facts speak that the Kosovo Liberation Army was an exclusive product of the people of Kosovo. It was “Made in Kosova”. It was born of the people's will to end oppression and his faith in the possibility of making freedom a reality.

Being such in origin, naturally, every Democratic citizen of Kosovo was, in one form or another, part of the KLA.

Those of us who were in management and organisational structures, throughout the war, have faced the fact that thousands of thousands of boys and girls, men and women, who wanted to wear the KLA uniform, but that was impossible with limited weapons and real circumstances of the state of war.

The will was complete, but the real possibilities for total mobilization were extremely limited.

We know the real level and figures of this mobilization.

We also know that these numbers do not match the official identity of veterans who have recently been made.

Official figures are much bigger than actual figures. That's a fact and it wasn't supposed to happen, no way, no price, because that's what's been violated, in her morale, the basic value of the KLA.

Falsifications on the veterans' lists constitute a great shame, which cannot be removed from prosecution investigations, but only the conscience and courage of each veteran to publicly tell the truth, regardless of any consideration or play, other than the truth.

The truth and only truth is the insistence that guarantees the KLA's failure to violate as a national subliment.

The battle against domestic and external counterfeiters of KLA truth is the battle for the state of Kosovo itself, so we have to win it unequivocally.

As I said earlier, in September 1999, The NLA has ceased to exist physically, to begin its existence as spiritual and moral value.

From that day on, to each member of it, The KLA is just a fixed capital.

Any effort, which has been made to turn honour into financial or political power, into its essence, has damaged KLA's spiritual and moral status.

These efforts have been successfully exploited by enemies of Kosovo's freedom to revive their propaganda that Kosovo's yesterday's deliverers today are its extortioners.

Today, our common challenge is to prove that the opposite is true.

This challenge is overcome only by respecting the principle known that past merits can never serve as an alibi for today's mistakes.

It is in the morals of each nation to honor those who have made sacrifices for their freedom, but such honor can never be understood as opportunities for special rights for them. When honor comes to the service of material interest, he ceases to be.

The merits of the past can never serve to build personal or group immunity from state laws. The state is above all and equal to all.

These are principles on which each veteran Kosovo Liberation Army's conscience should be based.

This is the best way to protect the KLA's dignity, and with it, the dignity of the independent and sovereign state of Kosovo.
