One who sleeps less than seven hours at night seems to encourage the genes that cause overweight if you sleep more than nine hours later.
The results of the research showed that those who slept less than seven hours at night, 70% of the weight changes, had genetics. For those who slept more than nine hours a day, only 32 percent of the weight variations were caused by genes.
According to Nathan Watson, director of the study, the results suggest that low sleep provides conditions for a tolerant environment for the development of genes related to obesity. As with the other result, prolonged sleep is a protection in the display of obesity genes.
Also last year, a study stated that sleep deprivation caused increased blood pressure on women, but not the same results were found in males.
