The reason is the sense of cognitive vigilance caused by television marathons, because the brain remains active for a long time, according to a recent study of the University of Leuven (Belgium) and Michigan (SHBA).
Researchers have analyzed 423 young people, aged between 18 and 25 Vich, where 74 percent were students.
According to this study, TV marathon lovers have had more fatigue and symptoms of insomnia, poor sleep quality, and a higher alert before going to bed.
Even deeper tests have shown that they are 98 percent more likely to have poor sleep quality than those watching television on average.
The fanatics of television series recommend relaxation techniques to reduce the sense of alarm in the brain before bedtime.
They even suggest that movie services like “Netflix” enable their viewers to set a maximum number of television watches beyond which they cannot go.
