Wladimir Klitschko's match against Anthony Joshua in April was one of the best boxing matches in recent years.
90,000 boxing fans had gathered to watch the classic match at the Wembley Stadium and all hoped for another match between them later this year.
But, Klitschko, instead of accepting another match against Joshua, has decided to retire.
“27 years ago I started my career in sports and it was the choice of the best profession ever, said Klitschko, broadcast Express.
The day after his decision, Klitschko made a tweet for Joshua. He wrote: My heart is at peace as I pass the torch to Anthony Joshua the new generation. Good luck little brother, I'm proud of you”, he wrote.
