Relations with Germany will normalise after elections

Relations between Turkey and Germany are expected to normalise after the September general elections in the European country, Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan said today during his speech at a business forum. Erdogan said he believed that Europe's criticism of Turkey was a consequence of domestic policy, bringing elections [...] to the attention.
Erdogan said he believed Europe's criticism of Turkey was a consequence of domestic policy, bringing to the attention the recent elections in the Netherlands, just before which some Turkish ministers were not allowed to campaign in Dutch cities, causing serious disagreements between the two countries. We have now found that the same tactic is being followed by Germany. I believe relations will normalise after elections in Germany”, Erdogan was quoted as saying by state-run Anadolu news agency during a business forum in the city of Isparta.
Tensions with Germany are earlier than the cycle of last elections, but they peaked in recent months, following the arrest of German journalist Deniz Yucel and human rights activist Peter Steudtner.
