The Polish official had earlier expressed his harsh stand against immigration. This is not the first time that senior officials from several Eastern European countries, particularly Poland and Hungary are seeking to link the crisis between illegal refugees and illegal immigrants and the spread of terrorism in Europe. Authorities in these two countries, particularly Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orban, have refused to accept asylum seekers. Given the level of socioeconomic issues, they claim that the entrance of asylum seekers to European countries threatens the existence of these countries in the first place. This leads to passive and reactive measures by some European governments to deal with asylum seekers on the pretext of their threat and on the pretext of increasing terrorism.
Despite protests by human rights groups, European governments have implemented strict policies against asylum seekers. One of their excuses for such an act is the possibility of infiltrateing terrorists among asylum seekers. Of course, the propaganda of terrorist groups has also been useful in intensifying restrictive measures. While terrorist group I The SIS has announced it has activated some of its elements for terrorist operations, sending them to Europe as asylum seekers. On the other hand, Bulgarian Defence Minister Krasimir Karakachanov also voiced his determination to fight illegal migration. He stressed that more Bulgarian military will be engaged in protecting borders with Turkey in the future.
Bulgarian Defence Minister Krasimir Karakachanov says the Bulgarian-Turkish border would have to be divided into five areas to stop the immigrants' entry. In each of these areas we'll send an armed body to the size of a company to monitor the respective border belt. Special combat troops will be present. In all, Bulgaria expects to engage 600 soldiers for border preservation. “We have seen in practice, that the military is more effective in securing borders than police”, the Bulgarian minister says. He made it known that for border monitoring, there will also be signs and cameras.
At the same time Karakachanov criticised the EU, which has so far managed to close Mediterranean roads for migrants. “We need to deploy NATO troops in Italy and Greece in case they need to protect the EU's external borders even by gun force.” Bulgarian Defence Minister Krasimir Karakachanov's assessment is that most of those coming to Europe via the Mediterranean are economic migrants. “They are not persecuted, they do not need protection of their lives, they just want to come to a wealthy Western country. ”
