An Albanian who has been caught passing red light at London's drug lights and forged documents has been imprisoned for more than two years, London Police report, Syri.net quoted.
His name is Erjon Bayraktari. The sentence was handed out on August 4th 2017 at the London Court for two years and four months after being found guilty of drug possession A and false documents.
The 23-year-old from Albania was detained by London's city police officers on 10:40 on the evening of December 3, 2016, after passing red lights at Bishopsgate.
The judge was told that Bajraktari presented a Lithuanian ID named Oliver Markus. Seeing the poor quality of the identity card, the officers alleged the document was false. Bajraktari was unable to answer even the simplest questions, such as these. When the officer asked him what city in Lithuania was born and where he was located, he quoted the Eye.net.
Bajraktari claimed he was headed to Muswell Hill, yet his scheduled destination on SatNav was to another 100m away.
Because of his suspicious behavior, inability to answer simple questions, constant adjustment of things inside his car, and his uncertainty when asked where he was going, the car was controlled.
A specially trained research dog discovered drugs hidden in the toolbox. In a grey sock, traces of cocaine were found. And a mobile phone and money was discovered inside a box in the car.
Bajraktari was later arrested for drugs and forged documents.
During an interview with London Police Detectives Bajraktari claimed he was in town simply “to see the magnificent bridges”.
Thus, in early August, he was sentenced to two years and four months in prison. The court ordered the seizure and destruction of drugs and other items found to them, like a thousand pounds in cash, an iPhone and a SatNav. /Syri.net
