The 22-year-old joined the Spanish team for eight million pounds from Manchester United.
Istogas had begun well with the Red Days under David Moese's orders, but with Louis Van Gaal coming he lost his place in the base formation.
After the problems he had with the Dutch, Januzaj said the first goal in La League would cost him.
