The Democratic Party of Kosovo is expected to publicise the names of candidates for mayors within two weeks.
“Yes, within two weeks we formalise candidates”, has told of news.net Blerand Stavileci from the PDK.
Even the Vetevendosje Movement has begun with domestic elections in municipalities, from which candidates for mayors and assemblies will arise.
VV spokesman Shkodran Hoti has declared that formalising these candidates will be made depending on the domestic elections organised in different Kosovo municipalities.
Preparations for local elections in October have not stopped the AAK either, they are working on identifying candidates and are soon expected to come up with concrete names.
The local elections have already been assigned and normal that we haven't stopped at any moment in mobilizing even for these choices. It has been worked on identifying potential candidates for mayors, but also for those who will be on the list for assemblies throughout Kosovo, all of this has happened and continues in close consultation with our facilities in the branches. Soon we will have a full list of AAK's names for all Kosovo municipalities”, Paul Lekay of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo has told news.
While Zafir Berisha from the Initiative for Kosovo has indicated that around 16 August or 17 August, this party will have 90% to carry out the candidates' names.
He for news.net has said the initiative has been starting for a month to identify candidates.
“We as the chairman actually have more than a month since we identified the candidates for chairmanship and asmable. Our deadline is August 22nd, but despite that, one week before the certificate once again, the branch heads will be assembled and we will see where they arrived. Approximately toward the 16th or 17th will we have 90% names performed”, the elected deputy Kosovo Initiative for Kosovo said.
Contact with LDK officials has been impossible, to understand even from them how far they have reached with preparation for local elections.
Both the LDK and other parties should have delivered the names of these candidates to the CEC, whether for mayor or assemblyist.
