The Supreme Court of Kosovo has ruled by the Court of Appeals, which has confirmed the decision of the Mitrovica Foundation Court in case of “Drenica 2”, with what ex-command commander general The KLA, Sylejman Selimi, was sentenced to 7 years' removal, Fadil Demaku, his brother Nexhat Demaku and Agim, Dritton, the Union and Selman Demaj to three years in prison, while Isni Thaci, Zeqir and Jahir Demak have been sentenced to six years in prison.
The sentence has been reduced only to Sylejman Selimi, from 7 years in prison to 6 years' removal. The others -- ex-Deputet Fadil Demaku, his brother Nexhat Demaku and Agim, Dritton, Bashkim and Selman Demaj -- will hold three years in prison, while Isni Thaci and Zecir and Jahir Demaku will be serving six years in prison.
The KLA War Veterans' Organisation in Drenas has called the Supreme Party's decision the greatest shame, assessing that there are groundless, uncontested punishments.
These political and malicious decisions make us not believe in justice, because rescuers are being condemned without evidence, the only proof is that they were KLA fighters and protected the country from Serb criminals”, said the OVL branch response in Drenas, arguing that “the truth is not free, freedom cannot be true”!
