Full response:
In some portals yesterday, at 14,8.2017, it was reported that Minister List Hoxha has suspended state lawyer Shefqet Hasimi only because “spoke against corruption”. This statement is fully biased and aims to manipulate public opinion to create a negative image of the Ministry of Justice and Minister Hoxha.
State lawyer Shefqet Hasimi was suspended and disciplinary procedure was initiated against him because in official communication he made false statements in relation to the Kosovar Privatisation Agency, accusing him of doing the illegal privatisation of the Grand Hotel.
The state lawyer, Shefqet Hasimi, has made this false statement, even though the Supreme Court's Special Chamber for the Affairs of the Kosovo Privatisation Agency in two institutions has confirmed that the privatisation of the Grand Hotel has been legitimate. The issue has been raised even until the Constitutional Court, which has rejected the complaint. The Republic of Kosovo has been indicted by Mabco Construction in international arbitration for compensation over the privatisation of the Grand Hotel, and in this procedure the Republic of Kosovo is protected by State Lawyer, whose member is Shefqet Hasimi himself. His false statements undermine the Republic of Kosovo's judicial position in the arbitration procedure and are not only unprofessional but also unfair, when he is tasked with protecting the Republic of Kosovo as a state lawyer.
If state lawyer Shefqet Hasimi has evidence that the privatisation procedure of the Grand Hotel has corrupt elements, as a state lawyer has had to raise this issue to competent organs, which he has not done, not make statements that undermine the legal interest of the Republic of Kosovo. Against the non-professional actions of state lawyer Shefqet Hassimja, the Justice Ministry has accepted numerous complaints by the state ministries and agencies for nonprofessional access, whose height has been the statement concerning the Grand Hotel, and for which it will now submit to the procedure of discipline.
