Infrako's independent union reacts strongly to stopping the circulation of all travel trains in Kosovo and calls on the Government of Kosovo to support railways by financial means.
Railways consider the news about stopping trains to be very bad, especially for passengers who have exploited railway transport as transporters.
“After 17 years of Kosovo liberation, to stop passenger trains is more than the failure of all relevant acts, primarily the Ministry of Infrastructure, which is responsible for transport policies, the Ministry of Economic Development, which is responsible for the development of public companies, as well as the Ministry of Finance, which has not monitored the means provided for Kosovo Railways”, is said in response.
Infrako's independent union commemorates that from the division of Kosovo Railways to two companies in 2011, Traancos and Infrakos, both these companies have managed very badly and in time have been known to come to the degradation of these two companies.
The Kosovo government, even though it has not fulfilled all its obligations to “Infracos” and “Trainos” has had neither the attention needed to monitor either of these two railway companies of Kosovo, so we ask the Government of Kosovo to turn its head towards the Railways of Kosovo, first support the railway with financial means and create sustainable transport policies, since to date no institution connected with Kosovo Railways has been responsible, neither government nor state-owned agencies, as these institutions are led by militants and clients working for their own chiefs, but also for their close personal benefits, (4)> said.
