Police in Russia have arrested a man who opened his dead girlfriend's grave and burned her coffin because he claimed she killed him in his dreams.

Thirty-year-old Yuri Golovin allegedly opened his ex-girlfriend's coffin five years after her death.

A macabre photo is believed to show him or his associate lying in the coffin after the tomb opened in the village of Menschikovo, the Kurgan region, 1,075 miles east of Moscow.

The detectives have also arrested a 23-year-old on this incident and opened a criminal investigation that could lead to five years in prison. Olga died in 2012 after committing suicide.
