Fruit cases restored to Kosovo

According to official statistics, about 95 percent of children are said to be vaccinated, which, according to local authorities, has shown success in preventing, seeing down, or even eliminating many diseases.

Fruitth was one of the diseases, thanks to the vaccine, it had not marked new cases in Kosovo since 2001. But, this year, however, unprecedented cases have been recorded.

In the Suhareka region, eight measles and three cases have been recorded in the Mitrovica region. So says Radio Free Europe, infecting Hamdi Ramadani, simultaneously director of infectious Clinic at the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo.

We haven't had cases of measles in years. But at the Infectious Clinic these days we've faced a group of sick people with measles, which has emerged in the Suhareka region. It's about eight cases that we've accepted and they're under treatment. In addition, by August 24th and 25th, a group of measles from the Mitrovica region of” has also been presented, suggests Ramadani.

Based on a study by the World Health Organization and other institutions in recent years, the measles ' disease has been “rived” in Europe, where the number of people infected since 2007 has tripled.

The World Health Organization (OBSH) says anti-fruit vaccines should immediately be added across Europe and Central Asia.

At the Ministry of Health in the outgoing Government of Kosovo, incumbent Minister Valbon Krasniqi's adviser to Radio Free Europe that immunisation can be recognised as the bright spot of Kosovo health.

According to him, the vaccine, except that it has reduced the number of many diseases, has diseases that have not been presented at all for many years, or disappeared, citing the measles and paralysis of children.

“As far as communication is concerned in Kosovo, as well as measles disease, the people of Kosovo have a good tradition and coverage (vacination) reaches over 95 percent. Inoculation of communities, Roma, Ashkali and Egypt” remains to be covered.

There is a long time since the measles have not been presented in Kosovo, but viral diseases are not a country's disease and can spread anywhere and whenever. There may not be years of fruit in one country, but there may be a sporadic case”, Krasniqi says.

Even child paralysis, Krasniqi follows, has not been presented in Kosovo for many years, thanks to the vaccine.

However, health authorities in Kosovo say they are implementing programmes of involvement in the campaign to vaccinate children of the Serb, Roma, Ashkali and Egyptist communities, where even the unvaccinated 5 per cent enter.

This vaccine is planned to be carried out via specific programs, meeting the target “for all children vaccinated”.
