Fighting Corruption and Terrorism, Prosecutor's Challenges

Chief Prosecutor Lumez has informed Austrian Ambassador Pfandler of the challenges facing the prosecutorial system and with the efficiency of the system, stressing that state prosecutors are willing to contribute to strengthening the rule of law, as well as conscious of facing the challenges facing the prosecutorial system, hoping that in this direction the support of international partners, with which the legal obligations are already built.
Chief Prosecutor Lumezi has confirmed that he is committed to increasing efficiency in the entire prosecutorial system, in fighting organised crime, corruption, as well as other criminal acts.
Likewise, Lumez has added that the main challenge of the State Prosecutor remains fighting corruption, organised crime, economic crimes, terrorism and war crimes.
During this meeting, it has been discussed increasing co-operation between the State Prosecutor and other law enforcement institutions, co-ordinating actions for the fight against crime, and with particular emphasis on preventing corruption, as well as boosting international co-operation with Austrian authorities in the criminal field.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Pfandler, praising the work the State Prosecutor is doing, as well as expressing his and his country's readiness to help the Kosovo prosecutorial system in all cases where Austria can contribute in order to increase the efficiency of this system.
Chief Prosecutor Lumezi has thanked Ambassador Pfandler for his support his country is giving to Kosovo's prosecutorial system.
