Kosovo's Afarism Oda on Wednesday through a media conference raised its concerns about Kosovo's energy collapse.

The OAK asked the Government to appoint new professional Bord to KEK and not political, as well as to immediately download the current management as the primary culprits for this energy collapse.

Hamdi Malushaj, member of the OAK Board, said energy collapse has earlier begun institutionally bankrupting the energy sector

According to him, Kosovo will lose over 2 billion euros from energy collapse. OAK Executive Director Ismet Mulaj said the main address to resolving this collapse is Government.

“The government appoints new professional and non-political Bord, as well as urgently downloading the current management as the main blame for this energy collapse”, Mulaj said. According to him, it is urgently recommended to expropriate private lands and create opportunities for KEK to start exploiting coal in areas where it is previously located. While, Mulaj said OAK called on the prosecution to immediately begin investigations into numerous allegations of abuses at KEK.
