Deliu-Codra: A Surprise in Candidates

Very soon, lists with the names of candidates for mayors are expected to close for the October 22nd elections. While some parties have begun formalising candidates, it is the Democratic Party of Kosovo that has not made public almost no names of them. Contacted by Indexline, PDK deputy Blerta Deliu has indicated that the PDK is in the final phase of preparations for the 22 October local elections.

According to Deliu, the presentation of the mayoral candidates begins this week.

“What is important, in this election the PDK will have over 300 new personalities that will be part of the election lists in municipalities. The PDK will have new candidates for mayors in nearly half of municipalities”, Deliu has said.

According to her, the PDK has even started preparations for local elections since the end of national ones.

“Since the end of June parliamentary elections, The PDK has started preparing local elections and our teams of experts have been dealing with drafting specific programmes for each municipality, programmes that best respond to citizens' demands, which will ensure the victory of the Democratic Party of Kosovo in most municipalities”, have concluded Deliu.

Apparently. The PDK still has work until the end of all candidate names, for which there may be dissatisfaction within the party.
