In Germany the media have reported that Liverpool has nearly 30m euros' bid for the new German star.
The 21-year-old is in the last year of his contract with Schalken and has yet to accept renovation.
That fact made it easier to transfer him to naughtfield where his fellow Clopps awaits him.
