A suspected member of the terrorist network, who carried out terrorist attacks in Barcelona and Cambridges last week, has admitted to the court today that the group had planned a much larger explosive attack, Spanish media reports.
Mohammed Houli is the first suspect to be confessed to the court after attacks that killed 15 people and injured more than 100 others, writes La Vanguardia, broadcast Express.
This newspaper has quoted several sources that were present during the interrogation, under which Houley admitted that the group had planned a much larger attack, writes Express.
Fifteen people were killed in two car attacks last week.
But wider terrorist plans are believed to have failed after the discovery of 120 gas canisters thought to be used in the attack.
