At the moment the military contingent was passed, PKK terrorists activated explosive vehicles on one road to the eastern province of Bitlis.
The attack took place on Tatvan Hizan Highway, while two soldiers were killed by the violent explosion and a civilian was wounded.
Turkish security forces launched extensive search for attackers. The separatist PKK organisation is on the list of terrorist organisations in Turkey, the US and the European Union.
Besides Turkey, The PKK also operates in northern Iraq and Syria, where PKK branches operate, PyD/ YPG. It's an organisation that more than three decades develops armed campaigns against Turkey.
This campaign was intensified in July 2015, and more than 1,200 people have lost their lives, including members of Turkish security and civil forces.
