In order to keep citizens and the public informed about some of the concerns raised over one of the insulin types, namely Gensulin, which has been used since last year to address a number of diabetes patients in Kosovo, the Health Ministry wants to ensure that from the moment of raising concerns about this product, it has taken measures to ensure that this drug meets the quality standards for use in Kosovo, becomes known through a media communiqué.
The Ministry of Health explains that the contracting process of this bar has gone to totally legal roads and has passed through all procedures in accordance with the Kosovo Public Procurement Law, under which no operator can afford to ban market competition rights for registered products at the Kosovar Agency for Equipment and Medical Products, broadcast Koha.net.

Further, it is said that in addition to the product, Modul 3 of Gensulin's producer Bioton (Polon) has been sent to this Croatian agency, as well as reference substances in sufficient quantity for all tests.
The last “>S, now in July, following continued contacts and interest in the product, the Kosovar Agency for Products and Medicine (AKPPM) has sent the HALMED Agency and the full list of all parameters from the Gensulin product analysis certificate, for which it wants to have the result of the analysis. In the meantime, that the MSH and AKPPM are waiting to have the outcome of quality control of the Gensulin product from a loan institution on this issue, he urged citizens to have understanding to expect this outcome, depending on which necessary steps will be taken”, said the communiques.
The SSH also says that it understands the sensitivity of this issue and the reactions subjectives that can be presented, while reassuring citizens that after receiving results, in the event the product has not met quality standards, in the name of patients it will require accountability and compensation from the operator, as if it would, even account for the other parties involved in the event the opposite is proved.
Without prejudging the outcome of the product's quality analysis, MS resons that the primary interest remains the maintenance and progress of patients' health under any circumstances.
