Vladimir Putin has signed the presidential decree on extending sanctions, on countries that opposed Russia and imposed sanctions on it, following events in Ukraine and the illegal annexation of Crime.
In a decree dated June 30th, Putin imposed the extension of the impasse until December 31, 2018, for the United States, the European Union, Canada, Australia, Norway, Ukraine, Albania, Montenegro, Iceland, and Liechtenstein, which are not allowed to take to Russia no agricultural product or raw materials for industry.
Putin's decree was adopted on 4 July by Prime Minister Medvedev, thus paving the way for the extension of Russian sanctions against Albania -- sanctions that affect mainly the export of agricultural products.
This is the second time that the head of the Kremlin decides the extension of its first 2014 decree, which was an immediate response to the countries that united against Russia and opposed the prosecution of the Crime.
This decision by Vladimir Putin comes at a time when the United States has envisioned other sanctions against Russia, which mainly affect companies contributing parts of exchange, services or technology <x0-directly” for the construction or maintenance of Russian gas pipelines.
