The decision to use the “Halo” system in the car came after negative comments made to Sield, another defense system tested by Sebastian Vettel in Silverstone with his Ferrari

That's what pushed FIA picks up the “Hallo” system to increase the safety of pilots in cars for 2018, even though it will undergo certain modifications proposed by team leaders themselves.
